At Beanbag Chairs.ca we want every purchasing experience to be a positive one. In regards to child safety we want you to be aware of the choking hazard that beanbag chairs can represent to small children. Beanbag chairs are not actually filled with beans. They are filled with chipped styrofoam. These tiny chips of styrofoam are a light and fantastically comfortable filling material. They are also a serious choking hazard for small children. There is a suede security flap which covers the zipper head on the bottom of the chair that is designed to make sure the chair cannot ever open accidentally. Once closed, it is difficult to open. However, it is not designed to be childproof. If a determined toddler or young child were to get it open and breath in the styrofoam chips or climb inside the chair it could be a serious choking hazard. If you have young children you must always supervise them when around the chair.


Satisfaction Guarantee (Refund Policy)

We guarantee your satisfaction with every purchase of a chair. If for any reason you are not completely happy with your new beanbag chair, simply return it for a full refund, any time within 30 days from the delivery date of your chair. You can try out the chair for a month. If after trying the chair you decide that you are not happy with it, then return it for a full refund. If you are local to our office it can be dropped off in person. If you live in another area of the country you must ship it back with tracking. It is very important to note that a returned chair must be in new undamaged condition. If the chair has wear, rips, stains, water damage or any other cosmetic damage it will not be accepted back.

It is important to note that we offer free shipping on all orders within North America. However, if you choose to purchase the filling material from us and have it shipped out you must explicitly understand that the shipping fees cannot be later refunded. This applies to all returns for any reason. The cost of shipping the filling material is costly, so please be 100% aware that no refunds are available on the shipping fees portion of your order. If you are not certain of the colour of chair you want we suggest purchasing the chair first, and then purchase the filling afterward when you have received the chair and confirmed that you are happy with the colour.


Warranty Information

Each chair is hand made and individually inspected by the artisan that creates them. The chairs are double stitched and very durable. It is a high end product and defects in workmanship are extremely rare.

Hektic Media LTD dba Beanbag Chairs.ca warrants to you, the original retail purchaser, for a period of one year from the date of purchase, for the beanbag chair to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Leather is a natural product, and, as such, each hide will reflect its own individuality. Some variations of shade and tone are to be expected as are the nicks, scratches, and wrinkles that only occur in genuine leather. Such characteristics are in no way to be considered a defect.

In the unlikely event that a defect in workmanship is experienced within one year from the original date of purchase we will provide a return authorization number. The damaged beanbag chair must be shipped back to us without the filling material inside. Upon receiving the chair and verifying the defect, a new replacement chair will be provided and shipped at no additional cost to the purchaser. Filling material will not be shipped with the replacement chair. Defects in workmanship include holes or significant cracks in the leather, or a seam failure that causes the filling material to escape. If the chair is in any way damaged as a result of abuse such as children playing or jumping on the chair and blowing out a seam, or if the chair shows signs of unreasonable wear and tear the warranty is null and void.

Items that are missing or damaged during delivery must be promptly reported by you to the delivery carrier. The carrier is responsible for merchandise damaged or missing in shipping.

If a return is not a result of an error by Beanbag Chairs.ca you will be responsible for all shipping costs and duty incurred for the order and return of the product(s). All items must be returned in their original condition and in their original packaging. You must send your return using a reliable international carrier that offers tracking (such as UPS or FedEx). Refunds are available for a period of 30 days from receipt of delivery. A R.A # (return authorization number) must be requested within 30 days of delivery for a refund to be issued. Refunds will not be issued for any items that have been damaged, or that show visible wear. It is strongly recommended that you insure the package, as you will be responsible for ensuring that all items arrive at the Customer Service Center in their original condition. No refunds will be available after the 30 day period has expired.

As a testament to the quality and care that goes into the construction of each chair it is worth noting that since our original launch in July 2003 we have had less than 5 beanbag chairs returned to us.
